Title: Combining Broad-coverage Compositional Semantics with Distributional Approaches
Abstract: In this talk, I will first outline the Minimal Recursion Semantics (MRS) approach to compositional semantic representation and the resources for working with MRS that have been developed by the DELPH-IN collaboration. I will describe the Dependency MRS variant of MRS, which avoids the use of variables, while retaining the ability to represent logical forms and illustrate how DMRS composition works. I’ll then go on to discuss how DMRS can be used in distributional approaches.
Ann Copestake started doing research in Computational Linguistics at the University of Cambridge in 1985. From 1994 to 2000 she worked at CSLI, Stanford, where she became part of the LinGO project, building broad-coverage grammars using HPSG.  She returned to Cambridge in 2000 and is now a Professor there
